I had one growing up in Maine as did a lot of my classmates. When it was time for my oldest to go to school back in 2010 I knew I had to get him one too. Now that my middle child started school this year i got her one as well. My sons is on his 4th school year with it still works just as great as year one. We have a red and a pink hoping LLBean brings back the purple for next school year so I can get my youngest her favorite color too.

I carry ONLY what I need which these days seems to be ALOT. I ride the bus from a parking garage to work. I must pack anything I might need for the entire day. This carry's my lunch,water bottle & really doubles as my purse & change of clothes (roll them) It's VERY roomy. I'm 5' 2" & it fits comfy I really love the organizer pockets I hate clutter. Better yet I got it on SALE I love a bargain & LL Bean.
I bought this for my son when he was in kindergarten, he is now in 5th grade. Backpack is still in great shape it's just to small for him now. Ordered a bigger backpack hope it last as long.
This is the only backpack that has survived an elementary school year! My son is using it again this year. Great purchase! I also purchased an LL Bean lunch bag this year. Thanks for making great products!
