1st time trying LLB backpacks. Quality seems to look ok. Just got it, haven't use it yet. Wish I've check to see if there are side mesh pockets. Perhaps some other models do.
This backpack held up great as far as quality goes. However my daughter as well as myself hated the way the fabric always got stuck in the zipper which was impossible for her to get out and a big pain for me to get out. She is 8 and going into 3rd grade this year.We will be going with another company for backpacks this year but look forward to shopping with LL Bean for school clothes.
Bought each of my 3 boys one of these packs in elementary school. They are now 21, 19 & 17 and they still use them on occasion! Bought them each a Turbo Transit when they entered High School and they are still going strong too! Well worth the price!
I buy nothing but LL Bean backpacks and recommend them to everyone because they are really worth the price. My kids have used these bags for elementary school wear and tear, vacations and summer camp without fail. Even 10 years later there are no holes or broken zippers for these tough packs. Thank you for making such quality products.
