I bought this bag for my daughter when she started elementary school. She is going into 4th Grade this year, and she has no desire or need for another backpack! LLBean makes backpacks that last and last. She is by no means gentle with her bag. She rides the bus, throws it on the floor...is a kid with it. The bag holds up, resists stains and washes well, too. Love it!
My son is starting kindergarten in the fall. We went online together and as soon as he saw this bag he said he had to have it and wouldn't look at anymore. He wanted his name on it too. we just got it and its even better in person. The colors are great. Its a little big on my son but I'm hoping all the other reviews are right and he will grow into it over the years and use it for a long time. So along with the promo code I found online I bought this bag and the matching lunch box for about the same price it would of cost me to get a bag somewhere else. Love the free shipping too. Don't have to waste gas driving around trying tio find a half way decent bag. Love llbean.
My son has used his backpack for three years now. It has held up well. He plans to use it for the next school year. I also like the red camo print because it's not something that he would outgrow. I've been so pleased with it that I plan to purchase one for my daughter too. The price is well worth it because the cheaper backpacks usually just last a school year.
I purchased this bag 3 years ago for my son whom was going into 1st grade. It is still going strong! Shows almost no signs of wear and tear and he is NOT a gentle on things kid. Not only have we used it for school but an entire summer of day camp complete with wet swim suits and towels, not to mention sand. We are using it again this summer for day camp and hoping to get another school year in as well. All in all a great bag!
