ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, original book pack
I bought this book bag for my daughter in kindergarten. It is still going strong today and shes heading in to 3rd grade! When she was in preschool she went through 5 backpacks, they either tore, the zipper broke, etc! Not this bag, it has lasted! LL Bean lives up to its name. Quality product and long lasting.
I bought this for my 6-year-old in August. She is not hard on her stuff, but the front zipper on the back pack was broke by December. I still have my original back pack from elementary school. Her new pack is definitely not made like mine.
As each of my children began school I gave them an LL Bean Original Back Pack. When they transitioned out of elementary school to middle school they received a new backpack--not because the old one had worn out, but simply because they were bigger kids with the need for a bigger bag.
My youngest child lost her backpack the summer between kindergarten and first grade. She started using an old bag her older brother had already used for six years and kept on using it through the next two school years. This bag shows very few signs of wear and tear despite hard use by active children for almost 10 years. As I said, I keep buying them for my four children as they grow bigger. It is wonderful to know I am getting such a sturdy, reliable product each time.
We have two of these bags for my two older boys. They love them! We've had them for 3 years so far, and they look great. My youngest is about to start school, and I need another in a different boyish color (we have the navy and the red camo); may I suggest bringing back the hunter green?
