I've waited to write this review until I used this bag for awhile. It has turned out just great - roomy enough, has enough body, enough compartments without driving me crazy trying to find something. The only feature I'd change is the key ring holder. I don't use it because it is difficult to work - I miss having one. Otherwise, it's a fine in town bag.
I bought my two oldest grandchildren LLBean Book Bags when they entered the 6th grade. They are now both 23, one out of college and the other graduating next year. They still have the bookbags, which are still usable. They are not colors they would choose now but do use them some when they need an extra bag. 19 and 20 years old grandchildren have them too and they also are usable.

When I was in High School I was going through a back pack a year(OK- so I am a little rough on things). I saw a LL Bean catalog at a friends and asked my mom to buy me "this" back pack. She said wow that is a lot of money for something your only going to use for a year but she bought it anyway. I used it my Sophomore, Junior and Senior year of High School, 4.5 years of college and even used it as a diaper bag after my kids were born. Later one of my nieces needed a bag to travel with and took it with her. OK so back to my mom. She was so impressed with the quality and durability that she bought my sisters, their husbands and her grand kids LL Bean book packs. Now that says it all! Thanks for making a wonderful product and standing behind it so well.
