Living, driving and hiking in a remote mountain area of Northern California, the need for a first aid and/or survival kit is paramount. I drive a Jeep Wrangler with a German Shepherd in back, so space is at a premium, but I needed something visible and readily accessible, not jammed underneath a seat. This book/back pack in RED fit the bill perfectly, and with the embroidered 1st Aid in white, the purpose and contents are obvious. This hangs from the DRIVER'S SIDE rollbar, above the wheel well, making it easy to see and grab without blocking my vision or consuming precious space. Being nylon should make it easy to clean. My daughter is graduating from 8th grade this weekend.... and her LL Bean backpack from kindergarten is still going strong! She puts it through a lot - and it still looks great. Sadly, I think we'll be getting a larger one for high school that is designed to carry a laptop. But this one could probably last for many years more. Thanks for making a quality product.
I got my book bag when I was about 12. Now 21 years later the color is still great and the only thing worn out is the zip. It took a lot of use and multiple trips through the washer. I would recommend these bags to anyone looking for a good quality bag. All of my kids have bags from here and I have since sold my husband on them too.
I got this backpack for my first grader at the beginning of the school year. Even after a year of being drug on the bus, being thrown on the floor, and being stepped on this backpack looks like brand new and is functioning perfectly. We are going to get several years of use out of this bag! It is also large enough to carry a folder, several library books, shoes/boots, and snowpants. I am extremely pleased with the purchase.
