I cannot complain about the look of this product or the quality. They are both very nice. My only complaint and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I didn't realize before ordering that it lacks a mesh pocket on the side to hold a water bottle. I live in SC where we start school in August and end in June. Having a water bottle is a must for my kids especially on the bus in the afternoon (no a/c). I'll be returning the original for the original plus which I got for my older son...it has a mesh pocket. :)
I ordered the junior size book pack for my 5 and 3 yr old (entering Kindergarten & Preschool) and sent them back for this bigger size. I am really glad I did. They are a little big but my daughter will have to have snow boots and snow pants for recess in the winter, will take her lunch and my son swims at preschool so needs a towel and suit somedays. Plus, with this size I think we can get them through grade-school. The Kindergarten teacher is glad we got a bigger backpack too.
My son is entering the 6th grade this year and he is still using the LL Bean backpack we got him when he started kindergarden!!! It is in great condition and the size is still appropriate! My daughter is entering the 3rd grade and still using hers too! And their lunch boxes clean up great and are also in great condition! Talk about an incredible value!!!!! Thank you for making such long lasting products!!!
