I got this bag for my son last year (grade 2). It has been a great bag, very light weight yet durable. It is a year old but still in perfect condition. My son loves the bag. However, I give it four stars instead of five because it does not have a bottle holder. We have to fit the bottle in the front compartment or inside the main compartment, not very convenient. I am ordering one more bag for my daughter. But I do wish LLBean will improve this bag wih a bottle holder.
I bought two backpacks last year, one for each of my boys. I had a problem with one because of an overflow with my washing machine and the backpack got soaked without being found, so some mold/mildew set in. I called LL Bean to see what I could use to clean it and they said to send it back and they would either clean it or replace it! This was amazing customer service, I never expected them to service something that was not their fault. These backpacks have been drug, thrown, spun around, etc and are still looking like new. Great product and awesome customer service. I will be ordering the lunch kits to go with these soon.
This is a great bookbag. Got it 2 yrs ago and still is good. But do not buy it if your children are going into junior high the next year or you will have to buy another one. Atleast i did. This is a great bookbag over all (for elementary) and my child still uses for over night things and trips.
I bought this around Christmas for my son whose other backpack was getting holes in it after only a few weeks.
This back pack finished the year with no signs of wear and tear. It will be making a debut next year. It is durable and perfect size for younger students.
The only thing is I wish I had bought this sooner before wasting money on mediocre backpacks that just didn't hold up!
