The original backpack looks as good as the day I bought it and I'm sure it will last for years to come. I bought it because of all the great reviews . I am expecting to have to buy another one in a few years only because my daughter might need a bigger one or just want a different pattern or color. She's been in Kindergarten since August and the backpack still looks great !
All 4 of my children own these backpacks and they are great. My oldest is 10 and has used the same one since she was 3 years old and it is still in great shape. I have even thrown these in the washer and had them turn out great. I have friends who have bought their kids new backpacks each school year but I am glad that I made this initial investment for my kids.
I was very dissappointed with the quality of this book bag. The zipper is the main problem. All three of them! My son complained about the zipper from the beginning. Not what i expected from LL Bean.
This bas is AWESOME. I got my current bag for college and since college, seven years later, I have carried it on airplanes, day trips and has been to over 150 Major League Baseball games with me. It is great for carrying water, snacks, programs, jackets, and autographed memorabilia. It even has a small pocket to keep tickets, so I don't have to dig for them when in line. This truely is the BEST backback ever made. Thanks LLBean for your great product.
