I have always known LL Bean to mean quality. I finally broke down and bought this book bag after buying several cheap bookbags last year. My biggest issue with this bag is the ZIPPER. It is always getting stuck and my 9 year old can never undo it. Finally he lost his patience with it one day and took scissors to it, now the bag is destroyed. Very disappointed with this product!!
My daughter used this pack from K thru 5th grade and it still looks brand spankin new! Even after being thrown in the washing machine a few times and getting overstuffed with heavy books. I'm really surprised that a seam never busted or a zipper pull never broke. It's truly amazing!! Now I'm off to find her a bigger LLBean backpack for middle school.
I bought my daughter this back pack when she was in 7th grade. Now turning 30yrs old in a couple of months she still carries it everywhere. She will be finished with college this summer. But she said its like here security blanket and she will never get rid of it. It's not torn the shoulder straps have never worn out its not the same bright colors but she likes it that way. It has went everywhere she has went. Thanks for such a great product!!!!Now when her son starts to school this fall he to will have one to carry!
this is the greatest backpack i've ever used! when i was in third grade, i had a sudden obcession with llbean. i got an llbean giftcard from a neighbor for christmas that year and couldnt wait to place my order. this pack was on sale for $11.99 in a blue butterfly print; i was sold. i ordered the pack and have used nothing else for school since. i'm now a freshman in highschool. this bag has been dragged through three differant schools, numerous vacations, on and off airplanes, on 67 field trips, to sleepovers, to grandma's house, and never being less than packed completely full; it has yet to fail me once. parents, get this bag for your kids, kids, make your parents get this for you, everyone else, get this today! you won't ever want to use anything else ever again!
