This is a great backpack for my elementary schooler. She loves the print. I like how fully the compartments open with the zippers.
Two suggestions for improvement: 1. The monogram barely shows up because it is almost the same color as the print. 2. There is no mesh water bottle holder on the side. We live in Texas, so we have to send water in every day, so it would be convenient to have the mesh holder like the one on the Original Plus.
Overall, I would recommend this bag. It stands up to little kid wear and tear.
Love the backpack--when we got it her name was spelled wrong. They were great about replacing it and while we waited for the new backpack, we were able to use the other one until it came in. She loves it because it is very easy for her to carry. I would recommend this backpack to my friends.
I bought the original backpack for my kindergartner. He's a little tall for his age, so I was afraid the junior would be a bit small. The original fits him wonderfully. He was thrilled with the red-camouflage print and loves all the pockets. After reading all the reviews, I decided that the few extra dollars was a better investment than buying the latest cartoon character backpack and replacing it every year. Even my frugal hubby is quite pleased and that's saying a lot!
