For years I bought my daughter cheap book packs at our local department stores, but they would start to fall apart before the end of the school year. So three years ago I decided to try a LL Bean one instead. What a huge difference! Two complete school years and even a trip through the washer machine (she spilled milk in and it went unnoticed for days, YUK!), and it's still looking good. Never again will I buy any other brand of book pack. This is one tough bag that is well worth the money.
Bought for Fall 2009 on a Friday - Rec'vd by Wednesday... even w/ monogramming! Son is insisting on using it already! Just the right size for him (tall kid for a Kindergarten'r). He LOVES it! Thank you LLBean!
It's true what they say. I just ordered a bookpack for my daughter. When it came in, I was disappointed to notice that the monogram was barely noticable. Because purple thread was used on the bookpack which has purple flowers on blue background. I called. They immediately ordered another bookpack for me, free of charge. They even waived the return shipping.
My daughter has had the junior bookpack for three years. It holds up well all these time. I've even put it into the washer a couple of times. Line try. Till today, it's still looking like new.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I purchased a backpack for my daughter when she started 2nd grade...she is now a Junior in high school and still uses it when she goes to visit friends overnight. The zippers still work, the bottom has no holes and the straps are just as good as they were the day I bought it. These packs are truly a remarkable product along with the price...I just purchased 2 more for my twins who are starting Kindergarten in the fall. I know these will last them well into Middle school.
