I have purchased many "cheap backpacks" that last only a few monthes. I bought my son the JR backpack at the start of kindergarten and 2 yrs later it is still just as new as the day we got it. We just needed more room for schoolwork so graduated to the original backpack. I look forward to the same quality. I will never purchase another brand of backpacks.
I love this and all the backpacks from LL Bean. They are sturdy, great colors, never have had issues with the zippers or anything.
My kids use them for 2 years and are then allowed to pick out new ones, but even after 2 years of daily use, they still have lots of life left in them. The Original is a perfect size for the lower grades in size and fit for the smaller kids.
