I bought this book pack for my son as he was entering first grade. He is all boy rough and tumble. Last year in kindegarten he went through at least two back packs that were 15-20 bucks a piece. This time around I got smart, and bought this one. He got the digital camo with the matching lunch box, I also got it monogramed with his initials. He loves it, and it has held up well. This book pack still looks brand new. Over Christmas break I washed it in cold water gentle along with lunch box then just line dried, perfect! He wears boots in the winter and puts his shoes in the book pack plenty of room for everything. I know this will last him many years! This bookbag is popular with elementary students here, and I bought one for my oldest grandchild several years ago. These are well made bags that don't look kindergarten-ish. They still look good after several years of use, can be washed occasionally, and are the perfect size for most second and third graders. The monograms always look good and the bag is accurately described. By middle school in our system, most students have too many books and other items for this size bag. For younger students, you can't go wrong with this bag.
I bought this backpack for my second-grader when he started kindergarten. He's been using it every day for 2 1/2 years and it looks good-as-new--as good as the one I bought for his sister when she started kindergarten this year. Love the quality, and the size is perfect for them. Can't imagine buying anything but the same for #3 when he goes to school...
I bought 4 of these backpacks and am pleased with the material and durability of the backpacks. However, since using them for several months now, my boys are ALWAYS zipping the material covering the zippers and getting them stuck. My oldest son has switched back to his old backpack and the younger ones bring their zippers to me for fixing almost everyday. I wouldn't buy these again. I have one that I can't even get unstuck right now.
