This is a great backpack! There is enough space for a notebook and a lunch box and it has enough pockets and compartments to make my kindergartener feel like a "big" kid. We'll definitely have this pack for a few years!
I purchased my first LL Bean Book Pack way back in 1986. I carried it faithfully for the next 5 years of school. Unfortunately it was lost in a move, but I received a new one in 1998.
The second pack has served as a book pack, a diaper bag, and all sorts of other miscellaneous uses. It's held up like iron throughout. I still reach for this pack first when I'm planning a 1-2 day trip or any sort of day-long outting.
Because of my success with these packs, I purchased one for each of my 4 children to carry to school. I am as pleased with each of these packs as I have been with both I've used myself.
This bag is truly a gem and well worth the cost. While cheaper and less well-made bags need replaced often, the LL Bean Book Pack wears like iron while still looking great!
