I had ordered the plates and mugs for my kids last year and thought the quality was superb. Imagine my surprise this year when I got the bowls, and the image/font was not even remotely similar. It is the same company that produces all three products. The bowls themselves are excellent workmanship, however, if you are looking to make a matching set, I would pass this by.
As noted in other reviews, the quality appears to be superior. My issue is with the quality of the image. I ordered three bowls, all with light skin. All three have images with almost orange skin - not what is pictured on the website.
I just received this sweet bowl and and am thrilled with the size and quality of the lettering and painted figure. The bowl has a strong and durable feel to it, like a hand thrown ceramic bowl. I don't think I will be able to wait until Christmas to give this to my grandson - he and his parents will love it, as do I!
Just got 3 of those bowls for my family (2 of the girls and 1 boy bowl) and love them. Great quality "Made in America" (very important to us). I ordered them for adults and forgot they were for kids so I was surprised by the small size but they make wonderful funny gifts with the name personalization and girl/boy picture!
