Unlike previous reviewers I didn't think the hat was too big, but it did smell really strongly of straw, to the point that it gave me a headache, and my husband said it "wasn't exactly a young style". And I'm 40. So back it goes, but it seems well made and I really wanted to like it.
Just wore this through five states and a lot of sun exposure. I give it a big thumbs up. Yes, the cord could have been a little better quality (leather would have been ideal)...but it is what it is for the price.
