This straw hat actually fits. My head is apparently bigger than average. I also liked the leather headband. It's weight keeps it on your head without being a burden, and I would be irritated by it if it weren't. Nice muted color and excellent construction.
I love the hat, it is great. I bought it for a trip to Maine and it served the purpose, it kept the sun from my face and it felt comfortable and stylish. I will wear as much as I can.
This is the third straw sun hat I have purchased. I only give it three stars, but keep on ordering it! Why? I really like the style of this hat. But, it really only stands up to one season of wear. The brim tends to eventually droop down below my ears. High humidity seems to be the culprit. I have tried storing it with the crown down, damping it and drying upside down while using a hair dryer. Nothing works to remedy the brim droop. So, I use the droopy ones for gardening and the most current one for wear in public.
