I have a couple of these, 1 for home, 1 for my car etc. They keep the sun off my face- sometimes I fold the brim down for extra coverage. The handy tie keeps the hat on my head. The hat can also be tucked in a bag without losing its shape. Can't say enough about it that is postive, have gotten compliments on the appearance of it too!
This is a great hat and this is actually the second one I have bought. The first was bought about 6-7 years ago and I was so pleased that LL Bean still had it. Great for the beach, packs well and holds it's shape. I use it mainly for dog walking in the spring and summer. Extremely cool and comfortable. I have a larger head and it fits great.
