I liked the size and shape of the hat and its squashability for packing. But I was very disappointed by the leather tie because it is SO rough and hurts my neck. I am trying to find something to use to soften it so my skin can bear it.
This hat travelled over 2000 miles being tossed around in the back of our car. I figured for sure it would be ruined, misshapen or damaged. It wasn't. It looks as good as the day I bought it. It was excellent for keeping out the sun.
I did not like the way the leather strap fit around the hat. Also,never wear this hat out where it is very damp. It just sags and loses all its stiffness FOREVER! I can no longer wear this hat which was once attractive but now is a sagging mess. Very disappointed, should add to description in catalog-- Wear only when the sun is shining, if you go out when the sun is out and then it rains or is very foggy, not a good thing.
