I guess LLB is having sizing and fabric issues currently with this shirt. I, too, have some older ones (from 2011) with much heavier fabric and without the odd sizing and shrinkage issues of the ones I just purchased.
I ordered 2 L TALLs and got one marked L TALL and one M TALL. Couldn't see any difference in size between them (both too tight and then they shrunk in the wash. Cold water only)
Exchanged for XL REG. Better initial fit, but still light fabric. Cold water wash resulted in almost 2" shrinkage in sleeves.
These are going back for XL TALLs. I could live with the lighter fabric, but if I can't get sleeves that fit, I'm going to be done with them.
Looked and felt great right out of the package but when I tried it on,the sleeves were a little short.After the first washing, the entire shirt shrank and the sleeves were at least 2 inches shorter! I had bought 2 of these shirts and it was the same with both. Now they're both relegated to pajama duty.
My husband has worn llbean waffle weave henleys for a number of years. He LOVED them. I ordered him a medium, which was way too tight in the chest. Returned it, then ordered a large which was huge. Returned that, as well. Fabric is different from previous versions and not as nice. disappointed. I'm out the return mailing fee and have no shirt.
Have had one of these I bought a couple years ago and still love it. However, bought another this year and the fabric must be different. Loved it, wore it once. Washed in cold water and dried on low heat; it shrunk. Maybe the fabric is sourced differently now? Very disappointed.
