I bought this for my husband's birthday, and he was pleased. As always, it was a well-made, quality item made of beefy fabric to keep him warm. It does not shrink in the wash and lasts for years. It's very nice to be able to have somewhere to order tall sizes that aren't "big & tall". Also, when you order from L.L. Bean, you know you're going to get an item you like that fits and will last.
I bought this for my husband for his birthday. From past experience, I knew the fabric weight would be substantial and the item would be well made. This shirt did not disappoint, and my husband liked it very much.
This really isn't a "shirt" -- it's more like a heavy sweatshirt in terms of its weight and bulk. It's also long and loose -- my medium regular hangs down to my hips. Having said, it's quite warm and comfortable. I wear it frequently in colder weather under a light windbreaker, but worn over a T-shirt indoors, it can get a little warm.
I never liked these waffle shirts before, but I went ahead and bought three. I really liked the way they fit and then I was worried about washing them, but after 3 washings in cold water and the lowest drying temperature they haven't shrunk at all. Happy, happy. Turning cold here and they are great for layering.
