This top fits well, but WILL shrink up on your waist (the arms and chest area do not shrink). I recommend buying your typical size, but when you wash it let it hang dry or cycle for a short period of time on low heat.
Ordered a few different colors for some variety. The Bering blue is not as light as it appears on the LL Bean website (I happen to like this). It's definitely a true blue Henley.
I bought the shirts in tall for my husband...he loves the shirts but they have shrunk so much we have to give them away to charity. I would not recommend buying the shirt unless LL. Bean can fix the problem.
Bought 2 of these, one in Navy/Multi and Heather/Multi. After just one wash, the sleeves shrank 3 inches and the size medium became a small. The overall quality of the shirt's made, materials and design are perfect but if it shrinks considerably like this, the shirts are useless. I've bought several waffle shirts before and they never shrank. I do not know what happened to this particular shirt's fabric. IT SHOULD NOT SHRINK considerably. I returned this 2 shirts that I bought. I was pondering on buying the same ones again in XL thinking they would shrink to my medium size but I would not want to waste any more money in shipping it back when this shrinking will happen again. C'mon LL Bean! Bring back the old quality of mini-waffle shirts! Make sure it will not shrink. Do a test wash on all the shirts before you sell it.
