I was glad to see that the Henley with the 3 button style has returned and the side vents remain. About 3 years ago my wife bought me 2 of these shirts. They are stylish, have a good weight to the material and very comfortable. They wear well and do not shrink when washed and dried. The past couple of years LL Bean went to a 5 button Henley with a higher collar, which I didn't like. Now that they returned to this style I didn't hesitate to add the chocolate brown to my collection. You will be very pleased with purchasing this shirt.
This is, by far, my favorite shirt to wear while camping - and we camp about 30 nights a year. The shirt stays in the camper, gets washed when we get home, and goes right back in. It is comfy, versatile and not too warm - perfect for all day use if you wear layers. I like the open front so I can vent it as the day goes on. I usually wear this over a t-shirt and under a flannel lined washed canvas shirt (also from Bean). My family jokes that this is my camping uniform.
I miss this shirt when we are not camping, so I am ordering another one for home use. I bought a similar shirt from another outdoorsy catalog company that specializes in hunting and fishing, but this one feels perfect from the moment I put it on. The one from the "other guys" just doesn't feel as cozy.
I have 3 of these shirts and they are my favorite to wear. They are great by themselves or to layer. I can outfit my whole wardrobe at L.L.Bean! AND I DO!!
