This is an extremely well made shirt and has a thick, substantial fabric. Even the collar buttons seem extra high quality.
Works either by itself or under an heavy outdoors shirt.
Seems to run large. I usually buy an XL in LL Bean shirts but, on a hunch, bought this in a size L and both the body and sleeve length are perfect (size 46 w/ 34" sleeve).
I love my L.L. Bean Waffle-Knit Henley Shirt. It is very comfortable and it is the ideal weigh as it keeps me warm but not so heavy that when the weather changes, I am burning up. I had to order this item in Men's as they did not have my size in the womens' department. This is only one of a few problems with L.L. Bean. But it still fits me great except the sleeves are a little longer than I like.
