I bought 2 of these for my husband. They looked great when he initially tried them on, long enough in the sleeves and torso. We followed the care instructions, washed in cold water, delicate cycle, tumble dry low. With any knits, we remove from dryer while damp, and hang dry the rest of the way. These shrunk up so much!! Now they are short & wide! We've tried going with the "tall" sizes, just for that extra length, but those shirts have a narrower fit than the regular sizes. I wish L.L. Bean would preshrink their fabrics (I'll pay extra), or make a "Tall" in a traditional vs. slimmer fit.
Had the crew neck version of this shirt from a couple of years ago. Loved it. Bought two of these in the same size as before...fit great out of the bag. One wash and the sleeves and body shortened up by 2 to 3 inches. :-(
Have several of these in solid colors and wear them all winter long - they are SO much warmer than plain cotton. Got a size up because they do shrink a bit, then fit is right on! Am female and need the longer sleeve length, slim body of the men's.
