I've been looking for a simple crew neck sweatshirt without a manufacturer's name splashed across the front and now I've found it. I'm 5'6" tall with 32" sleeves and a 38" chest. I like a relaxed fit shirt that doesn't hang down below my waist and without sleeves that would do credit to an orangutan. Based on other reviews I read I figured the medium in this shirt would fit me the best and I was right. The shirt's arms and waist lengths are just right. Besides an excellent fit, the shirt is well constructed with a fleecy inner that gives it warmth. At $35 with free shipping these shirts are a bargain. I ordered two of them and I'm glad I did.
While not the Champion sweatshirts some of us remember, this is a still a decent mid-weight sweatshirt. I got an extra large and after a few times in the wash it still measures 26" pit to pit. I am not a slim fit guy, but I do wish the arm holes were a bit smaller, they're huge. One other nitpick, I am getting the white pills from the inside as others mentioned, I hope it goes away in time
I initially ordered regular size (I am 5'9) and like a lot of shirts it felt short in the sleeves and waist. So I did not wear the the shirt as often as I would have liked. Usually just cold nights to sleep in. But is was a great shirt as for comfort, warmth and durability. Also looks good. So I got this wild idea to order one in tall. BINGO. Not too long, just right. I can lift my arms and not have the waist wide up above my stomach and have sleeves go just beyond my wrist if I stretch it. I promptly gave my regular to charity and ordered 2 more in tall. I have this same experience with other LLBean shirts such as the turtle necks. Plan to try same thing with them. Not sure how a "tall" person feels about the fit for them and wished LLBEAN would alter the length of many of the shirts.
