The man for whom I bought this sweatshirt had been looking for a basic sweatshirt with superior comfort. After shopping with him and watching him reject shirt after shirt, I determined to surprise him with the perfect one from my LL Bean site. Since trying on the Bean sweatshirt, he constantly comments on how much he likes it. "This is exactly what I have been looking for, sturdy weight but not too hot. And it's really soft. I first started wearing L.L.Bean's crewneck sweatshirts 8 years ago. That was my first. since then, my original navy blue has been washed at least twice a week for 8 years and I'm still wearing it and it has held up. I know own a grey one and a mountain red one. the more they are washed the better I love them. You definetly get quality for your $$. I also have 4 active crew neck fleeces.
