Typical LLBean quality, very well made, fits perfectly, exactly what I wanted. I have another one of these that is 5 years old and it's still in great condition.
I'm 5'8" and 185 lbs. Could have ordered Large size, but I went with the Extra Large since I believe it will shrink a little in the electric drier. Plus I like the extra room for layering with a poly undergarment to stay warm in winter.
I would rate this sweatshirt 5 star if they had the same exact style for women. I have searched and searched for a heavy, warm sweatshirt in women's sizes for a few years. I finally relented and bought the men's from LLBean. Based upon someone's recommendation I ordered medium which were way too big. I am 5'6" and weigh 133lbs. I have a squarish build and weight is evenly distributed. I returned the mediums for small. I ordered gray and red. I tried them on in a hurry and washed them. However, upon wearing them I have found the small is a little too big and because these are men's sweatshirts the sleeves are too long. Love the colors. I love everything about the sweatshirts except they are too big. A nice medium women's would probably be perfect.
Bought this shirt last X'mas to replace some of worn out sweat shirts. It arrived quickly. I am 5'10", 185# and the Large fit me well, shoulder/ length/sleeves etc. The cut is boxy and the fit and finish are good. The thickness of the material is medium at most. I wear it to work inside the house,at the yard, run, workout etc. I was disappointed at the thickness /warmth of the shirt. I was expecting thicker material and little bit warmer from the price point. It is no difference from other sweat shirts that I bought from local retail stores at about 1/2 of the price. Durability has yet to see. Only washed it once.
I kept the shirt. It did what it suppose to do, A comfortable sweat shirt to wear around the house and out. The cut/fit/finish are good. Material is ok. I am 50/50 in recommending it simply from price point basis.
LL Bean, I shopped from your company for several years, Your products usually are a little bit higher price for equivalent/similar products compare to others but the material/quality and workmanship usually make it worth the extra. Lately, it is NOT the case. I do not mind spend little bit more and get better quality products from your company if it can be done.
