I don't like to buy on-line. Since L.L. Bean stores are scarce and a long distance to drive, I took my chance. I did purchase the Men's size for extra room - can never have enough layers. I am planning to purchase a couple more in different colors. I will be ready for those cold wintery days ahead ~ <3
I have been looking for a warm, comfortable sweatshirt for ages, not those new extra long or shrunken sweatshirts. Although it's made for a man (looks like they don't make them like this for women), I'm 5'4, 120 lbs. and the small fits me perfectly. I finally found exactly what I wanted. Thanks LLBean.
The sweater itself is of very good quality. It's warm and washes well with minimal shrinkage when placed in the dryer. My only grievance with the sweater is that the sleeves are very wide at the top and tapers a lot towards the wrist. If you're looking for a modern fit go with the signature version. LL bean needs to provide an updated fit for this sweater in a comparable price range not 20 dollars more for the same thing.
