I've been looking for a high quality crew neck sweatshirt. Seems tough to find these days as most are hooded. This sweatshirt is true to size...I'm 5' 8" at 148 lbs and a small is perfect. Great soft feel inside and out and just the right amount of room so it is not too tight. Nice elastic in the cuff and bottom hem. Ordered the light gray and dark nave blue. These should last many years, and whenever they do need to be replace I will buy another from L.L. Bean. Nice job on a classic!
This sweatshirt is well-made and heavy enough to keep me warm on cool days, but the sleeves are so wide! Granted, I'm very short and on the stocky side and I know most sleeves will be too long, but rarely have I encountered such w-i-d-e ones. Push them up and I look like a sumo wrestler/Mr. Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! I ordered two and am keeping them anyway because they're fine otherwise and I might have the sleeves narrowed and shortened.... By the way, my over 6' tall husband tried one on and of course it looked nearly perfect on him!
I've had this sweater for a little longer than half a year now and it's held up well so far. It is warm and comfortable, and nice to wear around the house when it's colder out. The soft interior is responsible for the comfort. The red color is attractive and the sweater, while being fairly basic, looks good.
