I bought this sweatshirt for my husband (navy and gray). The cuff band and neck band were made of material that is scratchy and stiff, even after washing. The cuffs were so snug that my husband spent the first few minutes of wearing it stretching and tugging them. There was quite a bit of shrinking in the wash also. Not worth the 35 dollar price tag.
These are without a doubt, the best sweatshirts that I've ever purchased. I've got the red, mariner blue and dark gray. My wife has the dark gray and the navy. Being retired, we wear them all the time in cold weather. We especially like the fit and colors. Kudos L.L. Bean!
I was looking for something heavy to put over a shirt but instead got more of a heavy shirt. It turns out that it works for me and is warm and comfortable in cold weather as a shirt.
