I got this shirt for Chrstmas. I am generally happy with LL Bean clothes, but this one let me down. I asked for the Large Tall size specifically for the 35" sleeve. One wash later, and the sleeves are at least 1 1/2" short. Sadly, this is a shirt that will be worn once and done.
After many years of wearing the regular turleneck shirts, I took the plunge and tried your mock...wish I had done it years ago. A very comfortable feel and no struggling to turn the collar down evenly! I'm wearing one now as I type and, since we keep the temperatures in our house this time of year from a low of 63º to a high of 70º, it keeps the neck warm when we're nearing that low point. The neck of the shirt has remained tight with no stretching, so far. I now have purchased a second one and when the color selection has returned to normal after the Christmas season, I will buy others. Again, LLBean delivers quality!!!
I've ordered several of these mock turtlenecks because of the fit and comfort. The last order the shipping department grabbed the wrong size and shipped it to me so I'll use the return shipping labels that come with the order and ship it back for the correct size.
Just wanted to add my voice to those that say the old 50/50 mocks were much better. After only one wash, the necks don't hold their shape. The arms shrank significantly. I still wear the old ones but have the "new" ones hanging there since I don't like them. Please bring back the old ones.
