This is the second time I've ordered this robe. Love it!! Keeps me warm in Wisconsin and Michigan winters. Washes great, no shrinking. Covers me from neck to toe. Wore my red one for 3 years and now I have the Navy and couldn't be happier.
Can't tell you how much I love this robe! It is soft and so warm. On of my favorite things I have ordered from L.L. Bean. It does run a little larger than usual Bean sizing, but for me it felt more true to size than their usual sizing (I sometimes feel their clothes are more petite in sizing). Order mediums and large depending on sizing. In this I ordered a medium and it fits perfect, roomy enough to not be binding, which is good for a robe. I am 5'6" and weigh about 130 lbs. It goes to about my ankles. I will be very warm this winter in my new winter weight robe!!
First, be careful, Bean is selling a similiar calf lenght robe and I can tell by the reviews of that robe that some people are confusing it with this full length robe. This is a great robe, soft, warm, and seems to be of nice quality but, be forwarned, it runs super extra large. I'm 5' 2" and ordered a petite. I'm usually a small in a robe and a medium in other clothes, but ordered the petite medium as this was the only size left that might make it for me. I just hoped it would work. I was aware it might be to big, but wow! My husband is 5' 11." This "petite" robe fit him everywhere and reached to his ankles. Unfortunately it was very pink and not for him. If it were available, I'd order an xs petite and hope that wouldn't be too big. Unfortunately there is nothing left in that size size so back the robe goes. Make sure you order two sizes smaller.
This was a gift for my wife and she loves it. It is better than her last robe since this goes down and covers her ankles. Good for these cold winter days!
