The fabric is perfect weight . I ordered a medium - have ample hips - and Iam happy to report that there is no drama in the fit. Nice long tie. Pockets are copious but don't bulge out. Shapely lapel is what sets this robe apart from cheapo department store robes. It is snuggy and wonderful and it looks elegant too. L L Bean earns another kudo from YoMama.
I ordered this in XS Red for a Christmas gift. My daughter absolutely loves it. It is about ankle length and is very warm without being excessively bulky. The shape is lovely and I'm glad we found it.
Just received this as a "surprise" Christmas present (selected by me). I immediately switched robes and luxuriated in my new robe while unwrapping the rest of my presents. I look forward to enjoying it for many years to come (but maybe another color might be nice too). It really is super soft, warm but not too bulky and covers my ankles nicely (I'm 5' 7").
I love this robe, one customer said it was too warm so I hesitated to order it but I am very happy with it, I keep my house from 68 to 72 in the winter and I don't think it is too warm - it is just right and as expected very well made.
Also I am petite, the sleeves can be rollled up and still look good, because of my height I need to hem it about 2 inches but that is ok too - at least with me it is no big deal. The red is just right not to bright and not too dull.
