Everything about this robe is wonderful. I love the color (navy), the weight of the fabric, the length, and how super cozy it is. It's warm, and ample but not bulky. I'm 5' 7" and the medium size fits great. My mom is 5' 4" and has the same robe in red, in a size small, and she loves hers too. LL Bean has a WINNER with this one. Here's to a toasty warm winter.
The color of this robe in great but the fit and quality of fleece is not what I had expected. I am 5'3", weigh 129, and usually order a size S. Although the petite lengh is good,I feel as if I am drowning in this robe -it fits more like a medium. Also I have ordered a lot of fleece from Bean and expected this to be a heaviers fleece, this fleece seems rather flimsy compared to your other products. I did have it monagramed so feel I should keep it.
I purchased this robe in red back in the fall of 2000 when I returned to Colorado after seven years in the south. Nine years later, this robe is still plushy, warm, and beautiful. Sometimes I slip it on right over my regular clothes when I get chilly here in the house instead of cranking up the thermostat. It's toasty warm. I've washed it occasionally -- it has stayed new looking and together all these years -- what a great investment in comfort.
I'm always cold so I was looking for a long, warm, soft & cuddly robe to lounge around in. I returned this robe because it wasn't soft and cuddly. It's the type of fleece that they make the outdoor jackets with. LLBean makes the ultra soft fleece robe, but the wrap style doesn't come in full length. I live in California and can't find a full length robe anywhere. I gave it 4 stars because it's of good quality, but I think a robe should be ultra soft and cuddly.
