My husband likes these high-cut slippers and I like the lower ones. Actually, we LOVE them and would like to live in them. So-o-o comfortable and snug on cold mornings but we wear them year-round. So what if you look like King Kong - nothing beats these wickedly wonderful slippers.
Bought these slippers about 6 years ago. If I'm not wearing shoes at home, then I have these on. I love that my feet have trained these slippers so that I can walk right into them even in the middle of the night. I've also worn these outside getting the mail or bringing the dog out more times than I can remember. I wouldn't hesitate at all to get another pair.
I purchased my first pair of wicked good slippers in 2004 or 2005. They wore very well until the front seam broke out in 2007. I ordered another pair and didn't start wearing them until late fall. I went south for the winter and of course didn't need them in South Carolina. I began wearing them again when we returned in March, 2008 and within a couple of weeks the deerskin broke free (ripped) from the sole. They are unusable at this point. I am very disappointed in this product and certainly would not buy another pair. I planned to return them for a refund but I don't have any of the original paper work. This product review was very timely. I have always had good luck with LL Bean products until now. You may want to revisit where this product is made and their quality control measures.
