The first rug that was sent to me was covered in lumps from the packaging and being left in a cold truck for days so LL Bean sent another. This rug too had many lumps, but less than the other. They are starting to come out but some will never come out. The stitching on the ends is not very good and part is already coming loose. I have an LL Bean rug in every room but this one is a disappointment.
LL Bean Description: "An attractive rug that defies stains and stands up to heavy traffic, kids and pets. Made of 100% olefin fiber, a naturally durable, stain-resistant fabric that is easy to clean no matter what you spill on it. USA. Spot or professionally clean. Rug pad recommended."
ALL TRUE -Except for the rug pad recommendation. The description doesn't mention that the rug is fairly thick and has a rubber back.
I have the LL Bean rug on a wood floor in an area at the bottom of my stairs and near my front door. It does not slip at all -it stays in place just fine without the rug pad. If I did use the recommended rug pad I most likely wouldn't be able to open my front door over the rug.
I bought the rug for the live-in part of a horse trailer we just bought. Needed something that would stay in place and be easy to clean, hold up to mud and dirt. Although it's winter here and feet of snow, we haven't had a chance to really put the rug to the test, but I can tell it was the right choice and exactly what we needed. My husband even commented on how nice it was and he rarely comments on anything!
very nice. I like how the outside border pattern doesn't stand out as a separate entity but looks like it is part of the same rug. quite soft on the feet as well.
