Purchased these shorts in "dill" (which is a pretty silly name for a colour) and the colour faded badly after four months of infrequent use. Had to return for different colour
Pros: 1. Color, fabric, and construction are very good 2. Quite cool 3. Fit was good and true to size Cons: These shorts are huge below the waist. I wear a large size, so small sizes might not apply, but i felt i was wearing a circus tent around my waist. Not flattering.
I hiked the AT in 2010 and wore 2 pair of these shorts the whole way. 2000 miles and 5 months of wearing them every day and they were great. No significant wear. Dried fast. Washed well in creeks. I am sold on these as best backpacking pants.
Fits true. Great quality. The expanded description says "Polyester mesh lining" which to me means swim-type shorts, which is what I use them for. Just ordered another one.
