I was looking for lightweight easy care shorts for the summer.
I ordered these in the "map" print pattern. I disliked them because they had a bathing suit liner and not many pockets.
I wasn't looking for something for poolside or beach side. I suppose these could be "sport shorts" if you're waterside or beach-side, but again, more of a swim short than what I was looking for.
If you're looking for some easy care shorts for summer, I recommend the Ripstop shorts instead.

These work very well as walking shorts or swimming trunks. They shed water, dry quickly, and fit very well. Sandstone shorts hold their color in chlorinated water and washing machine.
Bought my husband the light green suit for water aerobics. Within a month or so it went from green to yellow! The pool is highly chlorinated, which is what I blame, but none of the other men seem to have this problem with their suits. Overall performance, wear and appearance is very good. Will try another color and see what happens...
this is my 4th pair of shorts/swim trunks. I wear them everyday in a pool. I like that they dry fast. I change them with a 2nd swim suit, same Bean product just another color. I buy a new suit atleast twice a year because it gets used so much. very satisfied with it.
