After searching everywhere for a reasonably priced pair of ladies' shorts with pockets, but having no luck, I decided to try these. I play tennis, do not like the short skirts/skorts, and needed pockets for the tennis ball. These shorts are comfortable and have worked out well for tennis and exercising in general. I purchased the 6" inseam, and they are just right -- not too long or too short. Most pairs of ladies' athletic shorts have inseams that are too short for comfort and coverage. Also, on the ones I ordered, the logo is stitched on the leg, not on a patch as shown in the picture -- I really prefer the simple stitched logo to the one in the picture.
These shorts fit great. I wear 32x30 pants, and these shorts in Medium fit like a charm. These are more a casual sport short - I would never wear these to work out in. I primarily wear them on hot days when I don't need to have khaki shorts on.
Not sure if I missed the note in the description about the mesh lining, but I was a bit surprised when these arrived and they were a "sport short" that had the versatility of being swim trunks as well.
But hey, now I have extra trunks in I ever need them.
I've recently purchased the 6" inseam Supplex shorts and have been pleased with their wearability. Although they haven't seen any water action (pool, lake) I've worn them numerous times. I prefer this style of short for exercise and have not been disappointed with their performance. The waistband pocket is great for my gym locker key. Being in-between two sizes, I sized up and am happy with the fit. The fabric is soft and seems to dry quickly. Only remaining question . . . which color to buy next?
Just 9 months ago I ordered three pairs of these shorts and they were fantastic. I ordered 3 more and they were very different. 1. The medium size was four inches larger in the waist 2. The material is thinner and 3. The pockets are longer, so when you have a cell phone or tennis balls in a pocket, it hangs lower than the shorts! I hope LL Bean goes back to the original design.
