These are the BEST slippers I have owned in my 53 years of life - I'm on my third pair and thought I would never have to buy any other kind! They are comfortable and supportive, easy on/off and warm/comforting. I wear them constantly (work from home) and literally love them to pieces. I was devastated to learn of plans to DISCONTINUE them! WHY!!?? That seems completely counterproductive! How could 1,100 positive reviewers be wrong?
I would hope that slowed sales is a reflection of the economy and NOT dissatisfaction in the product. We've all had to put off purchases in order to be good stewards - I've waited over a year to repurchase and not because I didn't want to order much sooner!
LLBean, Please LISTEN to us and DO NOT DISCONTINUE these slippers ... it would be wickedly wrong of you to do so. I am especially in love with the Chocolate Brown color and was extremely upset that they were SOLD OUT when I tried to reorder them recently. I ended up with the lighter color - wearing them happily as I type - but would have purchased at least 2-3 pr of the choc brown had I known of plans to discontinue.
Look, I live in a corporate world and understand bottom-line decisions however, why mess with something that so clearly is well-loved? These types of decisions sour my experiences w/companies ... and make me want to shop elsewhere. Here's the thing ... I LOOK FORWARD to my new slippers every Fall ... to have them discontinued with such a loyal following breaks trust with consumers and would indeed be tragic. LLBean is a brand built on quality, loyalty and trust ... please don't let us down and keep these slippers.
I just purchased my third pair of these slippers -- I wore out the first two pairs. I work at home, so I wear these slippers for most of the day every day. They're comfortable and warm in the winter and not hot in the summer. I like the clogs because they're easy to slip on and off, which I do multiple times during the day as I go in and out of the house. I often don't even bother changing into shoes for quick trips outside because the soles are sturdy enough for even our gravel driveway. I normally wear a size 6 1/2 wide shoe, but the size 7 medium fits me fine because the suede uppers have enough give. I would be very sad if LLBean ever stopped selling these slippers!
