I had to replace a 5 year old pair of LL Bean slippers and dreaded doing so because I loves them so much, but these slippers are even better. I love them and would wear them outside if I could! They are very soft and warm and although a bit pricey they are definitely worth the cost.
LOVED these slippers at first, but within a month or two, the super soft fuzziness began to wear away! I first exchanged them for another pair, but it happened again, so I returned them. If you pay $50 for a pair of slippers, you'd hope they'd last more than one season and that you wouldn't have to wear socks to make them comfortable :(
I received a pair of these slippers in 2007 and they lasted me three years, wearing them nearly every day from October-May. I had to replace them in January 2011 and the new pair doesn't compare in quality to the old. The shearling is not nearly as thick as the older pair and the cork bottom feels much stiffer against my feet. I still like the slippers and felt they were a good buy since I got them on sale, but I'm disappointed that the quality seems to have gone down.
