I was hesitant to buy this as a slipper because its a little pricey for a slipper, however, I am really glad I did. It seems durable, and is warm and comfortable. I am able to go out and get mail, etc because of the type of sole it has. I really love it. I work from home so they are my favorite shoes and I wear them daily.
Since I purchased these on my L.L. Bean card, I was able to look up to see when I purchased them. It was Oct. 2009. To look at them you would think they were at-least 10 years old! The shearling is worn out and I have two big holes where my big toes were! I have worn Bean's clog slippers for years. Last year I decided to go with the new of chocolate brown color. When I got them and put them on, I immediately noticed the shearling wasn't as soft as the original ones. It was also shorter and fuzzier. When I wore them around the house, there would be little brown fuzz balls (the shearling) falling out from the clogs. I loved the color but the quality of the suede and shearling just didn't hold up like my original clogs. Since my clogs look so bad, I decided to wear them while I work on my latest painting project. A little paint can't hurt the looks of these! I am hoping if I order the original color clog, they will hold up like the first ones I bought years ago. To tell you the truth, I am tempted to buy from one of your competitors! I am so sad because I have been a fan of L.L. Bean and have recommended you to all of my friends and family in the past.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, not heavy, secure fit doesn't slip
This is my first pair of Wicked Good clogs, but I'm a lover already. As soon as I slipped them on it seemed as if they had been custom made for me. Even though I have a high in-step I can still feel the firm support where it is needed. The shoes are snug, but not too snug. I wear them without socks and they are a great fit. If I choose to wear socks, there is still plenty of room for a thin sock without causing the shoe to stretch. All that being said, I normally wear a 6-1/2M to 7N shoe. I took a chance and ordered down to a size 6 for the clog. The length and width is perfect for what I wanted. But if you are wanting to wear a think winter sock with your clog, order up instead of down.
