I have plantar fasciitis, and I have to walk around in special shoes all the time. The worst part about this foot problem is I cannot wear slippers around the house (plus I can't go barefoot). These slippers are the first ones I can wear that do not cause me pain! They have a really hard bottom and lots of furry cushioning for support. I wish there was a pair for the summertime! When new, they are as comfortable and cozy as the originals, but they certainly do wear out much more quickly. I've had mine a little more than a year and the outside of the left foot is blown out along the sole from the middle of my foot all the way to my little toe. And they have stretched out so much that they are now very wide and sloppy. I have to hang on to them with my toes. I'm giving them another shot though, and ordering another pair, just in case they've been improved since their initial re-introduction. Fingers crossed. I would still recommend this product to a friend, but not unequivocally.
I just ordered a second pair. Most comfortable slippers I have ever worn. Love the stable footbed. Gives good leg and back support. These should be offered for the guys. My husband needs a pair!
I love L.L. Bean! As I buy a lot of my kids clothing from them! However, this product was a disappointment! I bought these for myself for Christmas. As soon as I began wearing them the soul on the left slipper came apart- I attempted to super glue it, and shortly after the other one fell off completely. They are very soft, warm and cute, but I would not recommend them at all!
