This my second pair of these in four years. It will break my heart if they ever stop making them. I live in Minnesota, work from home, and wear these every day, at least six months out of the year. I would also add that I have plantar fasciitis and need a really good support in anything I put on my feet. They are awesome for support and like a giant hug for your feet when you put them on.
I really love the slipper--the style and the way it feels. I even use them in the summer! However, within the first months there was a hole in the toe of the left slipper like several other reviewers have said. Although the construction is faulty, the customer service is great! All I had to do was take it back (there is a store nearby luckily) and they gave me a new pair. It's been about 6 months since I got the second pair and the left slipper is starting to wear thin again. I'll just take these back too when the hole finally wears through. It would be nice if they could design a better top so I wouldn't have to keep returning them.
L.L. Bean, if you really read these reviews, PLEASE do not discontinue these FABULOUS slippers. I received these slippers as a gift last Christmas. Little did I know that a pair of slippers can change your life!! I have bad feet due to a neck injury and these slippers have formed to my foot in a way that helps alleviate some of my nerve pain. Let me be clear, it's not like wearing a pair of Berkie's, you do not even realize that your foot is molding to the footbed because the are comfortable right out of the box. The more you wear them, the more comfortable they get. Even if I did not have foot issues, these slippers are so comfortable, so warm I forget I have them on. I've simply walked out of the house with them on to go to the market!!! I see you now have a different version with a motif on them. I am going to order a pair in blue. These will be my errand running "shoes". These are even more comfortable and better than my Ryka clogs that I usually purchase every year as my running around shoes. As long as you keep making them, I will keep buying them, so again I implore you, PLEASE DO NOT DISCONTINUE.
I am usually very conservative with my clothing and shoe purchases, but have always appreciated the quality of LL Bean merchandise and really feel it was worth the money. Unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed with the overall quality of this product. The slippers themselves are extremely warm and comfortable. The corkboard bottom makes me think of the comfort of Birkenstock, however, shortly after purchasing, the top of both slippers obtained holes from regular everyday use. It is unfortunate to invest this significant amount and have the quality lacking.
