Everyone in my family has been wearing Wicked Good Slippers for years! As soon as a pair starts to wear out, we order new ones. This is an item we don't like to do without.
I usually take 8 1/2 wide, but ordered the dark brown in 8B.
They are slightly roomy, but not a problem for walking or comfort. No pinchy toes, no catchy spots, just soft and warm. Real shearling is great stuff: I am allergic to wool, but shearling seems not to bother me. Wool makes me sweat and itch but these do not.
The shearling is a bit thin, so I hope it lasts. Also it wants to catch little pieces of grit, but they're easy enough to just pull out because they tend to gather at the heel area and the fluffs are so thin; this is only an occasional annoyance but no big problem.
I just ordered a 2nd pair in the lighter color in case they disappear from the line. I'm wearing these as SLIPPERS. They have a slightly raised heel, and a bit of arch support which are both welcomed.
Love 'em and can't wait to stick my feet in...no cold shocks after a nice warm bed! I like the rubber sole which makes for some outdoor traction.
They are very comfortable. I bought these to replace a pair I bought several years ago of the same kind. The older pair was still comfortable but I do find that the lining wears away at the heal after a couple of years. I feel they last pretty long and well worth it for the comfort.
After reading all the great reviews, I purchased a pair of these slippers about a month ago. They are wonderful! I wear an 8-1/2 wide and have a high arch, so I ordered size 9. They are perfect -- I even wear them with socks. I just ordered a second pair for work. They're not available until March -- winter in New York will be just about over (maybe!), but at least I'll have 'em! Highly recommend.
