Even the toes are bare but it doesn't show. Both slippers are like this.

I purchased these slippers after Christmas last year because I knew LLBean would offer great products. When they arrived, I fell in love with them. They were large but wearing with a pair of socks helped them to feel more snug. They were so warm and comfy that I wore them often. I began to notice the shearling was matting down by the time it was warming up so I put them up. I've been wearing them this season for 6 weeks and am dismayed that the shearling has become bare spots. It is very uncomfortable when wearing them with bare feet so socks are a must. Thankfully, I haven't developed a hole in the toe! I sure expected better quality from LLBean.
I bought my first Wicked Good Slipper Clogs in 2003. I was blown away. The upper part was very firm and they felt solid. I did not have to buy another pair for 2 years!
I just recieved a brand new pair today. I checked my records. This is my 3rd pair in 13 months. The quality pales in comparison to 13 years ago. I have to replace them every 6 months.
They are NOT up to the LLBean standard of the past.
I love these slippers but they have a big hole on the left one in the big toe area. I purchased these slippers last winter, they are less than a year old, and they are only worn in the colder months. I'm very disappointed in the quality, as I have had other LL Bean slippers that lasted me years.
I love these slippers but I am very disappointed that the left slipper, Big Toe area, developed a hole after a few months of wear. I tried to sew the hole thinking maybe I had bumped something that caused this hole. Sewing is not a good idea as the suede material just rips apart and it got bigger and bigger. I was going to get a patch of suede to glue on but then the right slipper started getting a hole. The shearling is completely worn on the bottom in the big toe area on both slippers. Because these are really comfy, they need to redesign them with a thicker durable suede or other material. I think that the foot sliding back and forth is causing this inferior suede material to just slowly wear. Maybe sizing is a problem too. I was glad to read that others have had this problem and it is not just my feet. Encourage this to be redesigned as the cork is very good and the shearling very cozy. Bean is replacing my slippers I know they stand by their products.
