I had been ordering two pairs of these shoes every year for ten years, and then they were discontinued. NOT FAIR said I in my letter to the home office! The people at LL Bean listen to their customer base. THEY'RE BACK, and I will buy two pairs a year for the next ten years if they'll only continue to produce them that long. These are my favorite shoes and I am hopeful that they'll continue to make them for as long as I have feet.
I was hesitant to buy these slippers because they didn't look 'cute', however, after I put them on and they snugged exactly to my foot, I was in love! I'm buying my second pair after my little dog chewed the inside fur. I highly recommend these slippers. I wear them out to feed the horse and walk the dog. Warm and comfy! They fit just a titch on the large side - I wear an 8.5 and an 8 is just right.
I have bought these slippers for years, so happy to have them back. One pair lasts 2-3 years, with daily wear 9 months out of the year (to warm for summer months). Support is wonderful, I cook a lot so on my feet these feel great. Note that even after years of wear and the fur gets matted down, they still provide just the right amount of warmth. After a couple of years my big toe wears a whole through the top, but by then I am looking forward to a new fluffy pair anyhow (so soft when new and extra fluffy!). By the way I say 'not so fashionable' because I am not a big fan of the rounded toe or chunky cork base #I have never thought Uggs were attractive either, totally unflattering#, but the function out ways the fashion and is worth it!
