"I have the yellow clock. It looks great and functions well too. The problem is that I like to sleep in darkness. This clock gives a constant glow, like a night light. It makes it difficult for me to fall asleep. I'll be selling it at my next yard sale."

"There are so many reasons why I love this alarm clock:
1) It's easier to see the time on the analog dial than on my old digital clock radio. I can even tell the time from across the room in the dark!
2) While legible, the lighted dial isn't too bright (which would be annoying.)
3) This clock is very simple to use. Just 2 knobs to set the time & alarm, a switch to turn the alarm on, and a snooze button on the top.
4) The bell isn't obnoxious-sounding (not that I hear it that much - the blinking light actually wakes me up)
5) Because the light wakes me up, I don't disturb my husband, and
6) I love the blue color and retro-styling.
I think I will order some of these clocks as gifts.

"I am so happy with my purchase of the moonbeam clock. This is by far the best way to wake up in the morning! No shrill bells that totally accelerate your heartbeat - just a soft flash of light. It also has a soft bell that will go off if I fail to turn off the switch upon waking.
I also like the lighted face - really a great feature.
My daughter is so impressed that I plan to buy her one for Christmas. I would highly recommend to everyone. Thanks for the great product."

"I bought the yellow moonbeam clock and was really pleased that I awoke with the pleasant blinking light. Never made it to the ringing! Alas, my clock started to make a grinding noise (must of been the hands) after 2 yrs use. Was a bit disappointed. Thought the warranty was no good so I donated it."

"Both my parents are deaf and this was the only alarm clock they bought. I remember as a child my parents used this clock because the flashing light would wake them. Now the have vibrating bed alarms. I bought one for my parents and they were so surprised I remembered the clock. They smiled the whole time they were opening the box."

"Very nice, functions as a nightlight as well, without being too bright. Does not make any ticking noise, or any noise at all. The alarm is a loud "bringggg" but only comes on after a few minutes of the light blinking. So, if you wake up with the light, you can turn it off before the ring starts. The design is great, not too large, not too small."

"I bought this for my daughter's 6th birthday which occured just before she started all day school. I bought the green one that matched her bedroom decore. It looks adorable! She is afraid of the dark, but the soft glow of the clock provides just enough light so that she doesn't want a nite-light. The blinking alarm is cool, but is yet to get her out of bed. She absolutely hates the audible alarm, so that get's her up. My husband wants one for Chrismas, and I want one now, so I'll be ordering a couple more. What a cool clock!"

"This is the ONLY alarm clock I have ever liked. With any other sort I will wake up before the alarm, music, or whatever, goes off, because I don't want to be awakened to that stimulus. I wake up the the blinking light of this alarm, and no sound jars me. I figure that if this model has been in production for 50 years, Big Ben must be doing something right!"

"I originally received this clock as a Christmas gift in 2007. I replaced it just recently because it stopped keeping time. However, LL Bean replaced it for me FREE OF CHARGE, which I thought was great because I love this clock!!! My parents had one in their bedroom for over 40 years and it brings back many wonderful memories of my childhood."

"It has a subtle glow for those who like a mild nitelite quality.If you like a "gentle" wake-me-up, this is it. When the alarm begins there is no loud noise, a light begins to blink on and off. And if you happen to be turned away from it..?not to worry there is a ringing bell that sounds off to wake you. You must follow the directions that come with the clock. I did have to exchange mine, it was losing time, but I called and a rep. was very helpful in rushing a replacement. My new one is working fine, so far."

"I have now ordered two of these. I liked the first one so much, I ordered one for another bedroom. The styling is unique; the colors are non-ordinary. The alarm is enough to wake me up (which isn't always the case), and the light blinking helps with that."

"I love my clock, perfect size, nice color and the alarm has a very nice sound. The clock also has a back ground light that flashes before the alarm goes off. It's not that bright but it does wake you, it is a very pleasant light that it gives off. I hope this helps others who may be interested in purchasing this item."

"The clock is a great idea, ad/marketing does the job and I bought one. Two major problems. First it is very hard to adjust/set time and alarm. wheels are small, dark plastic. It is hard to see to make changes and these wheels felt flimsy. Second the clock is much larger than I expected. At least include size in future on-line descriptions."

"My husband recveived this clock as a gift maybe 10 years ago. I ended up using it as I get up before him. I love this clock. The light is a pleasant way to wake up and the bell rings if you don't see the light first. I had to buy a new one as the old one is starting to fail; the alarm does not always go off. I hope the new one lasts as long."

"I am on my second clock...not the clock's fault....cats who don't recognize that items belong on a night stand, not the floor. Anyway, it is so much less stressful to wake up to the light instead of a very jarring noise from a regular alarm. The lighted face is very easy to read too. I really do love this clock"

"This is my 2nd Moonbean clock. The blinking light alarm, really wakes you but not everyone else in the house. By far the best feature. We had our 1st one for years and the light bulb burnt out, it can be replaced but over the years our son had pulled out the time set knob, so we decided to replace the clock."

"I was so happy when I saw that LL Bean was offering the Moonbeam Clock. As a teenager, I had one and loved it. The light beam would always wake me up, before the alarm went off. I could get up and NOT wake up the whole house.
The back light on the clock allows you to see the time very well, and the flashing moonbeam isn't startling like a regular alarm clock.
Order one and enjoy.....It's the greatest alarm clock there is."
